Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult

Recently, I finished reading one of another beautiful work of Jodi Picoult and I was like, this woman is tremendously good. She carries out her researches and pens down a book that would get you devouring through the pages. Nineteen Minutes and Handle with Care are two other of my favourite.
Perfect Match is a really good book though there are twists which readers would love, but one thing about Jodi's books, we always know how it ends. Sad truth. But then, she keeps us lost and wondering while we read though, such a powerful word smith.
Assistant District Attorney Nina Frost has won so many cases in the past related to Child Abuse and rape. She wasn't even aware that her five year old son, Nathaniel,  has been a victim. When Nathanial starts undergoing the pressure, she tries all she could to know what was wrong and her baby tells her that Father Szyszynski had abused him. A semen was found in the five year old's underpants and when labs tests were done, it was confirmed to be Father Szyszynski's DNA.
Then there is one big plot twist, Nina shoots Father Szyszynski four times. It's a twist because I had expected her to go on with what she does best as an attorney, but she kills him.
As the story goes on, it turns out that visiting priest,  Father Gwynne had actually abused Nathaniel. Father Gwynne shares the same DNA with Father Szyszynski due to a bone marrow transplant which the latter had done years ago. So it made them half brothers.
When tried, Nina is found guilty and sentenced to twenty years imprisonment.
Her husband Caleb Frost despite his earlier protests to Nina killing Frost he poisons Father Gwynne.
Perfect Match is a story about a woman who had actually thought she was fighting to save her family but she lost the very thing she was fighting for.
Though, we wanted to know more,  like why Detective Patrick disappeared after Nina's arrest, after all he had an affair with her.
The book is a good one, even though it ended sadly, most times, the very things were try to keep together clouds us and we just lose out. Most times we have to let karma knock out a few people.
Thumbs up to Jodi. This is another of her work that inspired me.
